In 202, Napoli won their first Scudetto since 1990, and the former Sky Blues player contributed to the victory by making seven Serie A appearances, three Champions League appearances, and one Coppa Italia.

The defender also scored in the Champions League, demonstrating his ability to create results for his side at the highest level of European club football.
