Liam Sercombe’s future at Cheltenham Town is uncertain, with interest from League One, League Two, and National League clubs.

The midfielder was Cheltenham’s Supporters’, Players’, and Sponsors’ Player of the Year for 2023/24, scoring 11 goals. He has been given a new contract, as his current one expires this summer.

Sercombe has been with the club for four seasons, helping them win the League Two title for the first time and register the two highest finishes in their history. However, they were relegated to the fourth tier this year after a final day defeat at Stevenage.

Since joining the Robins from Bristol Rovers in the summer of 2020, the 34-year-old has made 185 appearances in all competitions and scored 27 goals.

Sercombe began his career at his hometown club Exeter City, where he helped them advance from the National League to League One with two consecutive promotions.

After one more year at the Kassam Stadium, he joined Darrell Clarke’s Bristol Rovers for a three-year stint, winning Player of the Year in 2017-18.

Sercombe is nearing the milestones of 700 career appearances and 100 goals.
