Leon Britton is a Swansea City legend, but he also had a brief spell with Sheffield United which failed to live up to expectations.

However, it is frequently forgotten that the midfielder had a disappointing experience with Sheffield United during the 2010/11 season, and just a few months after arriving at Bramall Lane, Britton returned to Swansea, helping them gain promotion to the Premier League.
Britton struggled to adapt at Sheffield United, and it immediately became clear that he had made the wrong decision by leaving Swansea, and the fact that he returned so swiftly after discovering his error further added to his status as a Swansea icon.

Sheffield United fans, on the other hand, will not have good recollections of Britton’s time at Bramall Lane, as his tenure summed up a catastrophic season that eventually saw them relegated.

Leon Britton joined Swansea City on loan for the 2002/03 season, helping them avoid relegation to the non-league on the last day of the season, and he joined the club permanently from West Ham in the summer of 2003.
Britton was a tremendously prominent character for the Swans, helping the team win several promotions before establishing himself as a great Championship midfielder.
