Oxford United signed Negru back in January 2023 and he played twice during the second-half of last season under their former boss Liam Manning, who is now at Bristol City in the Championship.
He has made 19 appearances in all competitions this season, 13 of which have been in the league, but he has not played since February.

Prior to his move to England, Negru rose up through the ranks at Shelbourne and broke into their starting XI as a teenager.
He played nine games for the League of Ireland team before joining Oxford United.
Buckingham’s team advanced to the play-offs with a 2-1 away win over Exeter City on the last day. Mark Harris and Cameron Brannagan scored goals against the Grecians.
They will meet Peterborough United in the semi-finals to go to the final either Bolton Wanderers or Barnsley at Wembley Stadium.Last Saturday, Blackpool and Lincoln City were not among the top six teams.
