‘Major signings’… Celtic given exciting transfer update before deadline day

On the 29th day of the January transfer window, Nicholas Khun is the only new player that Celtic has signed to the roster.

With less than four days remaining and several areas that need to be strengthened, Brendan Rodgers has promised to bring quality to the roster while also cutting players who have no future. The Celtic supporters are becoming concerned about the lack of activity occurring within the Parkhead corridors.

But it appears that there might not be any reason to fear. Before the transfer window ends on Thursday, Celtic is expected to make “at least” a few additions, and Jim Duffy appears to be very optimistic that Aaron Rodgers will make “major signings” to help the squad get better.

Duffy stated, “I don’t think there’s complacency,” to Clyde Superscoreboard. They would have, in my opinion, been making every effort to acquire the kind of players Brendan Rodgers would be pleased with.

The challenge now is to ensure that the four new players Brendan Rodgers expressed he would like to see arrive are the right kind of players, the correct combination of players who can compete in the starting lineup and make an impact.

“I wholeheartedly concur that they ought to be adding players. We have one more week left.

“It would be shocking if you had asked me the same question a week ago and they hadn’t signed anyone.”

Thus, I completely anticipate that Celtic will add a striker and a full-back, among other players. There should be a few, in my opinion.

“I’ll be shocked if Celtic doesn’t have a few big additions in before the window closes.”

Fans of Celtics, are you relieved?

Fans of the Celtics will be greatly relieved if what Duffy says is true. The fans are becoming more and more irate as the team appears to be dragging their feet during this window and there has been no word, not even a rumor, that any moves are being made.

The striker, left defender, and goalkeeper positions all need to be strengthened, so there will be a lot of work to be done quickly. It makes sense why the supporters are becoming uneasy.

There is not much margin for error in the championship run-in, as Celtic and Rangers are separated at the top of the table by five points, even though the Ibrox team has a game in hand.

There is a lot riding on this championship, with a £60 million Champions League pot of money up for grabs. As such, Rodgers’ next transfer decision needs to be exactly right in order to guarantee that the league trophy remains in the Parkhead trophy room.
