‘Not happy’: Pol Valentin sends 18-word relegation message after Sheffield Wednesday draw v Stoke City

Pol Valentin has admitted he is ‘not happy’ after Sheffield Wednesday drew with Stoke City yesterday.

Pol Valentin was brought back into the starting line-up yesterday, having been left out since the 2-0 defeat to Middlesbrough earlier this month.

The Spaniard started at right wing-back and made great efforts to push Wednesday forward as they looked to cut open Stoke’s backline.

Valentin had one shot, won 100% of his ground duels and picked up four free-kicks, but was amongst a very frustrated Owls side.

Liam Palmer’s second-half goal for Sheffield Wednesday was quickly matched by Luke Cundle’s equalizer, leaving the team with just one point at Hillsborough.

Despite Valentin’s praised efforts, Sheffield Wednesday expressed dissatisfaction after their draw against Stoke City. Valentin, acknowledged for his tireless performance, voiced his disappointment on social media, saying, “We deserved more and we’re not happy with the draw, but this team believes it’s possible. C’mon swfc.”

The Owls’ potential key to survival lies in their unwavering confidence and determination, instilled by Danny Rohl. While relegation worries linger, the team’s spirit and effort stand out, despite issues in the final third.

Their upcoming match at Ewood Park could define their season, with hopes resting on Blackburn’s complacency after widening their gap from the bottom three. The Owls’ higher spirits and Rohl’s influence may be the difference-maker in their bid to avoid relegation.
