Fabio Silva’s January move to Rangers this month has amazed Kenny Miller, who believes the forward may be a Jota-like addition for the Gers.

The Portuguese striker was Philippe Clement’s first signing at Ibrox, coming in off the bench in the Light Blues’ 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock. He was signed on a season-long loan from Wolves.

He said, “He has already brought in Fabio Silva on loan from Wolves,” in the Daily Record on January 7. For someone who is only twenty years old, a lot is expected of him.

The Portuguese forward has been highly rated throughout his career and while he has never quite been able to match that level of expectation, the hope at Ibrox will be that he is able to finally hit those heights in a blue shirt.

Hopefully, he’ll hit the ground running after the winter break and begin to find the net regularly over the second half of the campaign. All Rangers supporters will be crossing their fingers that they’ve signed the next Jota rather than another Cyriel Dessers.
