Watching the injured Gers forward emerge on training ground footage would help them win the title sooner rather than later.

You won’t hear Philippe Clement whining about the Rangers injury list, which has occasionally reached double digits since he joined the team.

The manager of the Gers prefers to handle issues within his squad rather than lament them or seek pity, leaving the Ibrox believers to speculate about who might or might not be near a comeback.

Given that the Rangers manager wants as many goal scorers as possible on his club, Abdullah Sima would be a wise choice if he could only have one player back.

Abdallah Sima’s comeback gives Philippe Clement a boost for the Rangers

Since joining on loan from Brighton, he has scored a goal every two games, so it’s understandable why there have been rumors of talks about a permanent transfer.

The 22-year-old Senegalese international still has a lot of growth ahead of him, but his talent already warrants a significant investment.

For example, contrast his goal return with Ryan Kent’s.

When he was on loan from Liverpool, he didn’t even reach double figures, so we were all relieved when Steven Gerrard was able to obtain a deal to bring him back.

Before suffering an injury during the African Cup of Nations in 2024, Abdallah Sima scored 15 goals for Rangers in just one game.

It was not a hope, but an expectation to surpass the 20 mark.

Although Oscar Cortes seems like a fantastic addition, Sima is no longer a major goal threat for us.

A threat that, if images from Rangers social media are accurate, might resurface shortly.

Sima is pictured with the first team squad and in full training gear as part of the charity foundation’s Dream Day project.

An optimist may interpret this as a successful outcome from his adductor (groin) injury surgery and as a result of his prior conditioning helping him heal.

Though there are some rumors that he was on the training ground’s grass, the more plausible answer is that he has been undergoing rehabilitation.

His return to watching games at Auchenhowie and Ibrox is encouraging and indicates that Brighton is content with the direction things are taking.

The time couldn’t be better, and what a difference having Sima, Danilo, or Kevin Roofe available would make.
