Physician: The Rangers player will need surgery for additional muscle damage and will be sidelined for several weeks.

Physical therapist and sports scientist Brar, who spoke exclusively to Ibrox News about his situation, stated:

It sounds as though the medial collateral ligament (MCL) has completely ruptured.

“The need for surgery to address further damage in other muscles, such as meniscus tears or tibial plateau fractures, may also be indicated by the surgery itself.

“Restoring baseline strength and mobility will be the primary goal of the recovery process. Neuromuscular coordination and other skills will be advanced, and sport-specific activities will be incorporated as needed.

Since things haven’t worked out the way Philippe Clement would have preferred, Rangers may use the January transfer window to sign a Danilo replacement.

He lacks a consistent number nine halfway through the season, and although Abdallah Sima is capable of filling that role, he prefers to play off the left.

It has been suggested that Lawrence Shankland be brought in while Danilo continues his recuperation.

Cyriel Dessers isn’t as high in the pecking order as many would have predicted when he moved to the club because he didn’t get off to a quick start.
