Nat Phillips gives a farewell message to Celtic following Liverpool’s comeback.

After a brief loan spell at Parkhead, the goalkeeper has returned to Anfield.

Nat Phillips has sent a beautiful tribute to Celtic fans following the conclusion of his loan time at Parkhead.

The Liverpool defender spent five months in Glasgow after joining the Hoops in the summer to fill a defensive injury problem. Brendan Rodgers did not give the 26-year-old a contract extension after he failed to impress in any of his 12 games for the club.

Despite a terrible spell in Scotland, Anfield manager Jurgen Klopp defended the huge stopper, claiming his problems had nothing to do with his abilities. Phillips has now written his own statement thanking the club for the opportunity to wear the historic green and white colors.

He wrote: “It was a pleasure and a privilege to represent @celticfc and their supporters. I wish everyone at the club all the best for the rest of the season and the future.”

Phillips may not have been popular among Hoops fans, but it’s apparent he was well-liked within the Parkhead dressing room, as several of his former teammates wished him well.

Alistair Johnston reacted with three green love hearts, while Matt O’Riley said, “Will miss you caveman.” Winger Mikey Johnston said, “All the best big man.”
