‘Last go’… Pundit reckons 31-year-old now has just three months to save Rangers career

One Rangers star, in Barry Ferguson’s opinion, is nearing the end of his time with the team and needs to make an impression before the season is out.

The time is running out for current injured striker Kemper Roofe, who is recuperating from yet another setback in his injury history, according to the former Ibrox captain.

Rangers face huge Kemar Roofe decision after latest injury update

The £4 million player hasn’t played for the Rangers first team since his most recent injury, which was sustained during a December match against St Johnstone. He just can’t keep healthy.

Roofe has missed 13 Scottish Premiership games this season due to injury, according to Transfermarkt. However, the Jamaican is unquestionably one of Rangers’ top finishers and, when he can play, he may score a goal or two that is crucial.

It appears that Roofe may soon make a comeback because Philippe Clement believes the forward can still be “very important this season.”

Ferguson shares the Belgian’s belief that “predator” Roofe has the potential to be a significant player, therefore he is not alone in his assessment.

However, the 46-year-old warned Roofe during an appearance on The Go Radio Football Show that he just has three months left to save his Rangers career as his contract expires in the summer.

“Listen, his Rangers career has been hampered by injury,” stated Barry Ferguson. I’ve told you what I think of Kemar Roofe. He is an excellent center-forward, in my opinion. Without a doubt, but it’s merely to keep him in shape.

“It’s likely his final attempt to save his Rangers career for the future. He might be a major contributor if you can get him back into shape.

Since (Cyriel) Dessers is doing so well, I won’t say to start. His performance has improved. These days, Fabio Silva is scoring a couple goals. However, Kemar Roofe is the best person to turn to when you need to score a goal. Inside the box, he is a predator.”
