Four changes have been announced for Rangers’ starting lineup against Aberdeen, with Lawrence starting as Clement rests.

Rangers confirmed starting XI v Aberdeen: 4 changes with Lawrence starting as Clement freshens up side

As Rangers welcome Neil Warnock’s Aberdeen team to Ibrox tonight, they have the chance to take the top spot in the Scottish Premiership standings.

If Philippe Clement’s team defeats a revitalized Dons team by a score of two goals or more in front of their home crowd, they will have the chance to pass Celtic at the top of the table.

Aberdeen made a promising start to life without Barry Robson on Saturday at Pittodrie, holding the champions to a 1-1 draw. If they want to stop the Light Blues from stretching their winning streak from the winter break to five games in a row in all competitions, they need to put on another impressive performance.

From the starting lineup that defeated Livingston 3-0 in their previous meeting, Clement has made FOUR changes. In central defense, John Souttar takes over for the injured Leon Balogun, and at left back, Ridvan Yilmaz is preferred over Borna Barisic. With Ryan Jack out, Tom Lawrence is moved into central midfield, while Cyriel Dessers is chosen to lead the line instead of Fabio Silva.

After missing Saturday’s encounter, Dujon Sterling is back in the matchday squad. Oscar Cortes, another new signing, and Mohamed Diomande start the game on the bench.

Here are your official starting lineups for the Scottish Premiership match in Govan this evening.
