The team is now in eighth place in the Saudi Pro League, although the former Rangers manager has had difficulty with his new team in Saudi Arabia. One of the well-known football players to travel to the Middle East was Gerrard, who returned to the dugout in the summer.

He had previously moved from Rangers to the Premier League to play for Aston Villa, but things did not work out there, and he was fired after just eleven months. While Gerrard will be hoping that Al-Ettifaq is a different story, the bookies have already begun to take bets on Gerrard’s possible replacement.

The odds for Jose Mourinho taking over as manager of an SPL team have been made public by BettingSites.co.uk, with Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq now sitting as the favorite.

“Without a win since October, Steven Gerrard is now odds on to be fired as Al-Ettifaq manager before the month is out,” stated Liam Solomon, Head of PR for BettingSites.co.uk.

“Al-Ettifaq now have a month’s break until their next league game, which would allow Mourinho enough time to settle into life in Saudi Arabia, giving him the best opportunity to halt the club’s free fall down the table.”

After just one victory in their previous five Serie A games, Roma fired manager José Mourinho on Tuesday morning. Mourinho had been in charge for two and a half years. In the table, they are ranked eighth.
