Philippe Clement has detailed Rangers’ winter training plans.

The Light Blues announced yesterday that they will come against FC Copenhagen at Ibrox on Tuesday, January 16 with the match kicking off at 8pm. That clash comes just days before the Ibrox side return to competitive action the Scottish Cup against lower league opposition in the shape of Dumbarton.

Immediate focus turns to tonight’s clash with Hearts in the capital as Rangers look to keep up the pressure at the top on Celtic.

Clement is yet to taste defeat since his arrival as Michael Beale’s successor and has already dumped the Jambos twice in his short spell in the Ibrox dugout. But he comes up against a Steven Naismith side flying with confidence after four league wins on the trot.

He added: “It will be a big challenge. We beat them in two games.

“It’s a little bit special as it’s my 11th game for the club, and the third time against the same opponent. But we had to be on our toes twice before to have a really good level to beat them.

“It’s a good team with strong organisation and good, attacking players. They are also super motivated from what I hear and read about this game to beat us.”
