Saudi money may be able to help James Tavernier open door for £16m star who has “unfinished business” at Rangers

It’s safe to say that Nathan Patterson, the former star of the Rangers, has some challenges at Everton.

When the 21-year-old Scotland international right-back completed a £12 million, eventually rising to £16 million, move to the Premier League in January 2022, he broke the Ibrox club’s transfer record.

Since then, Nathan Patterson has managed Everton under four different managers: Rafa Benitez, Duncan Ferguson, Frank Lampard, and Sean Dyche.

And it’s because of the gravelly-voiced Northerner that things at Goodison Park have stumbled, giving the incorrect signals in response to a condescending training camp smack.

Now that there are rumors that a prominent Rangers player is drawing a lot of money from Saudi Arabia, will Nathan Patterson returning to Ibrox take care of a lot of issues for everyone involved?

Patterson has made 19 appearances for Everton so far this season, but he hasn’t left the bench in their previous seven Premier League games as of this writing.

They want James Tavernier in Saudi Arabia.
It seems sacrilegious to imply James Tavernier, the captain of the Rangers, would quit Ibrox, especially since he only became the best scoring defender in British football history this past weekend (131).

It’s difficult to envision a Rangers squad without the franchise’s ever-blue captain rampaging down the right side. Tavernier, a Hall of Famer who has been a regular in the lineup for the previous nine seasons, is in with the bricks at the renowned stadium.

And it creates a whole host of problems since James Tavernier is thirty-two years old and the offer of millions of Saudi Arabian dollars could arrive in the summer.

The Ibrox board will have to pay attention if Saudi interest is realized given Rangers’ selling club status, depending on the types of fees involved.

Rangers News is of the sincere opinion that the Saudi Arabian interest being discussed is real, and there’s a fair likelihood the Ibrox side will be questioned in the coming months.

Nathan Patterson of Everton and the Rangers
It could be fascinating to test Nathan Patterson’s previous allegation that he has “unfinished business” with the Rangers. The young Scotland star is obviously highly regarded by Everton, but his development has stalled recently, and there’s a persistent belief that the right-back needs a swift fresh start given the criticism leveled at his performance on the international front.

If Rangers were to offer James Tavernier millions from the Saudi Arabian Pro League, the circumstance might present a chance for the Ibrox team.

Although many people find it unimaginable that James Tavernier would leave Rangers this summer, the team could yet win those Saudi millions, get Patterson’s loan back, and use versatile squad member Dujon Sterling as cover.

Or is the Rangers captain simply too significant to be replaced?
