Ridvan Yilmaz, a defender for Glasgow Rangers, is a target for Galatasaray, but they will need to persuade Philippe Clement and company to allow him to leave Ibrox this summer.
Takvim and Fanatik, who both cover the player today, claim as much, citing the Turkish team’s efforts to broker a deal for him.
According to the former, Galatasaray intends to add five players to their roster this summer in an effort to build on their success from the previous season, which saw them take the lead in the Super Lig with two games remaining against Fenerbahce.
They’re already planning to bolster their roster, and Rangers defender Yilmaz is at the top of their list for a left back.
Despite his past with Beşiktaş, they are interested in making a move for him; however, the “biggest problem” they are currently facing is Rangers’ refusal to allow him to go on loan from Ibrox.
Fanatik, on the other hand, takes it a step further and claims that Philippe Clement and company have totally ruled out moving the Defender.
They claim that even though Yilmaz has primarily served as Borna Barisic’s backup this season, the Scottish team does not intend to let him go in the summer.
According to reports, the Rangers intend to retain Yilmaz on the squad and release Barisic.
Galatasaray’s offer to sign him, whether permanently or on loan, will thus be politely declined.
