Leeds United winger Keenan Carole is poised to depart Elland Road permanently this summer, with Sheffield Wednesday reportedly eager to secure his signature, as noted by Leeds-Live.
According to the news outlet’s report on May 9th, Carole, a French winger, is nearing the end of his contract with Leeds, prompting interest from Sheffield Wednesday to bring him to Hillsborough.
Despite being 19 years old, Carole hasn’t featured for Leeds’ Under-21 team since December. However, he did play for Wednesday’s youth side in a recent 2-1 victory against Ipswich, indicating a potential permanent move is on the horizon.
The upcoming transfer window at Leeds United is expected to be active, both for the first team and the academy. The club’s transfer activity is likely to be influenced by their divisional status, with various players either seeking moves away or keen to stay based on this factor.
Carole’s situation, however, suggests he is unlikely to be part of these discussions, having not progressed with the youth team and lacking involvement in the first-team setup.
