Scottish football briefs: Celtic eye new signing, ‘no favours’ in Rangers battle, Sam Lammers latest, Hibs reserve ready for action.

Vaesen and Celtic connected
After current No. 1 Joe Hart announced last month that he will retire at the end of the season, Celtic will need a new custodian this summer. RKC Waalwijk stopper Etienne Vaesen is one of the first names to be connected with the Parkhead team.

The 28-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign, and reports in the Netherlands suggest that Celtic is interested in him. Vaesen has played for RKC in his own country for his whole career, and according to Brabrants Dagblad, PSV is also keeping an eye on his circumstances.

Celtic people prioritise themselves
As they attempt to win the Premiership again, Celtic defender Stephen Welsh insists he and his teammates are not seeking “favours” from anybody else. The reigning champions are one point ahead of Rangers in the championship battle, but Philippe Clement’s team still has a game to go.

Welsh remarked following Celtic’s 3-1 victory against St Johnstone on Saturday, “We don’t need favours.” Our only concern is winning the upcoming match, which is away to Livingston. After that, we continue and see where it leads. When the time comes, we are eagerly anticipating playing Aberdeen in the semi-final. We need to give it our all since we are battling on all fronts.

Hearts remind themselves of their advancement.
Alan Forrest, a forward for Hearts, is not showing signs of concern after the Jambos’ unusual loss over the weekend. The team led by Steven Naismith suffered a 2-1 defeat at Ross County, but they are still ten points clear of third-place Kilmarnock, whom they will play on March 30. Forrest remarked, “I don’t think we can move past what we’ve done.” “What we accomplished is sound. One performance doesn’t instantly turn a team into a terrible one. All we have to do is examine it. Though we were betting on it to win, no game is simple. We examine and reevaluate it, but I don’t think we should be too depressed. There’s still a void [in third]. Killie is in fourth place and I know they won. We can’t let ourselves sink too low and still be prepared for Killie, in my opinion.

Hibs keeper prepared to play
Should David Marshall retire at the end of the season, Hibs backup custodian Jojo Wollacott says he is prepared to take David Marshall’s place as the team’s top scorer. Due to an injury, Wollacott replaced Marshall at halftime against Livingston. Hibs won 3-0 thanks to two outstanding saves from Wollacott. “Yeah, I always have that in the back of my mind,” Wollacott said in response to a question over replacing the former Scotland star.In football, things can change quickly, so you have to be prepared for everything at all times. Yes, I’ll be prepared if that’s what I’m called to do.

Lammers once more hitting the mark
Sam Lammers, a forward on loan from Rangers, scored for Utrecht for the second straight week as he continues to draw attention in the Netherlands. The 26-year-old scored in the 1-0 victory over Nijmegen and expressed his satisfaction with the play, saying, “It’s the second goal I’ve been able to score for the Bunnikside. But maybe I should have added two more points. But it’s addictive to score points for the Bunnikside. I take our current winning streak for granted. Although I am pleased with the outcome, I continue to consider those lost chances.
