“I think he’s priceless” – Coventry City urged against Ben Sheaf sale but told to consider double exit

Plans for Coventry City’s summer transfers

With Callum O’Hare expected to leave on a free transfer in the summer after refusing to sign the proposed extension, Coventry will probably see some changes during this window.

Additionally, Sky Blues supporter Neil told FLW that while he would be willing to let go of Joel Latibeaudiere and Kasey Palmer for the correct amount, he emphasised that they cannot afford to trade for Ben Sheaf in the face of interest from Ipswich Town and Fulham.

“We’ve previously seen that there have been connections to Palmer and Latibeaudiere; if we could secure fees for them and they moved on, it wouldn’t be the end of the world.”

“Being the best midfielder in the Championship, Ben Sheaf has been linked to moves away, and there was always going to be speculation surrounding him, but in my opinion, he’s priceless.”

“I believe Palmer or Latibeaudiere will be the people we target for financial gain. I would check there because I believe both would fetch reasonable prices that would let you bring in a replacement of comparable quality and you wouldn’t really be missing much.

Coventry City needs to have a successful summer.

There was hope that Coventry may contend again after making it to the play-offs in the 2022–2023 season, but it was obviously tough to compete on both fronts after the incredible FA Cup run.

However, they will undoubtedly believe that they ought to be considering promotion the next season.

This Coventry club can be very good on some days, as evidenced by their performance and victory at Wolves in the FA Cup quarterfinal and their performance against the Red Devils. However, they will need to demonstrate this across the course of 46 games.
