Due to exhaustion, the Sky Blues’ star forward missed Wednesday night’s 2-2 draw with Plymouth. However, he is back in his usual position at number ten, replacing Kasey Palmer, who is benched, on a day when Tatsuhiro Sakamoto is out due to illness.

In other news, Luis Binks rejoins the team in lieu of Liam Kitching at left back, while Jay Dasilva replaces Jake Bidwell at left back. Joel Latibeaudiere is moved to right-back to cover for Milan van Ewijk, who is rested among the substitutes.

Josh Eccles moves into midfield with Victor Torp, and Fabio Tavares, played wide on the right instead of Sakamoto, gets his first start after returning from a year-long injury. Ellis Simms leading the line as the lone striker and Haji Wright, who returns to the starting lineup on the left, are the only two options available.
