Borges may help Coventry City, who missed out on the Championship play-offs this season, improve their attacking capabilities.

Swindon Town is preparing for another season in League Two, and bringing the Australia youth international to the fourth tier would be a bold move.

Borges would be guaranteed more consistent playing time with the Robins. The Wiltshire club must make an important decision on who will be their new permanent manager.

Following Michael Flynn’s dismissal, Gavin Gunning was appointed interim manager, however it is unclear whether he will remain in that position.

Borges was born in Holland but relocated to Australia when he was five years old.

He began his career with Melbourne City, breaking into the first squad in 2019 and scoring two goals in 17 games.

Macarthur then signed him in June of last year, and he has since been a crucial player for them, scoring six goals and providing two assists in 32 matches across all competitions.

The forward signed a two-year contract with the South Western Sydney club, which means he has another year left on his deal.

Coventry City, Swindon Town, and Rangers all reportedly interested in signing him, making it difficult for his present team to retain him.
