A community legend from Coventry City receives a high honor

Shaun Pierce received the Community Captain award from the Premier League from SKY BLUES in the Community.

Shaun’s remarkable contributions to the community over the past 27 years and his persistent dedication are both demonstrated by this accolade.
Shaun was presented with the accolade in the presence of Dave Busst, the head of Sky Blues in the Community (SBitC), and first-team manager Mark Robins.

In 1996, Shaun began as a work placement during his school days. Under his direction, the SBitC player development center grew to include over 35 teams and engage over 600 players. Shaun’s family, who played a significant role in his journey, were also present, adding a personal touch to the joyous occasion. A representative for Sky Blues in the Community stated: “As we celebrate 27 years of Shaun’s remarkable service, we are thankful for his unwavering commitment, selflessness, and passion.”

“He’s more than just a local hero. He is the foundation of our nonprofit organization and a real example of how sports can have a beneficial and transforming influence.
