Hearts defeated Celtic 2-0, and there were celebrations all over the camp.
The boys in maroon and their devoted fan base had an early Christmas after Hearts defeated Celtic 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Things weren’t looking too well before the fight. Celtic had just won their opening Champions League game, whereas Hearts had lost their last two games. The Hoops were also headed for their 53rd straight victory at home against the league.
But Steven Naismith’s team was up to the task, as two goals in the first half from Stephen Kingsley and Lawrence Shankland were sufficient to halt the Scottish champions cold and prevent them from earning any points. With a game against St. Mirren this weekend that might define Europe, the Jambos are back in third place.

Christmas came early for the boys in maroon and their ever-loyal fan base following Hearts’ 2-0 win over Celtic on Saturday afternoon.
Things were not looking overly promising ahead of the clash. Hearts had lost their two previous games and Celtic had just won their first Champions League match. In addition, the Hoops were on course to win their 53rd home league game in a row.
However, Steven Naismith’s squad rose to the challenge and two first half goals from Lawrence Shankland and Stephen Kingsley were enough to stop the Scottish champions in their tracks and deny them any points. The Jambos are now back up in third place ahead of what could be a European-defining game this weekend against St Mirren.
