The 30-year-old midfielder is one of the top earners at Ibrox but is out of contract in the summer and is set to become a free agent.
The sourece reported that negotiations are far advanced and that Rangers have made it their main goal to tie up Lundstram in a new deal.
It is believed that Gers manager Philippe Clement is personally attempting to move a transaction along since he sees Lundstram as a crucial member of the starting lineup.

During his three years with the club, Lundstram has won the Scottish Cup and the Scottish League Cup as well as playing a key role in their run to the final in the Europa League in 2021-22.
