Rodgers reveals unwell Celtic midfielder

Despite playing the entire match against Livingston this afternoon, Celtic playmaker Matt O’Riley was sick all week, according to Brendan Rodgers.

O’Riley, who is rarely absent from Celtic matches, overcame the illness, and the fact that Rodgers didn’t bring it up prior to the match demonstrates the high expectations the Danish midfielder has of himself.”Stephen Welsh entered at the last minute, replacing Matt O’Riley, who was ill the entire week. Nicolas Kuhn also entered after not playing. Although there was some interruption there, the crew managed to finish the task.

Against Livingston, O’Riley might not have been at his best; he gave the ball away to Tete Yengi, which led to David Martindale’s team’s second goal.

Nonetheless, he is without a doubt one of the team’s most reliable players, so you can pardon him for the odd bad game, especially if he has been sick all week.
