The Rangers legend alerts Gers to the “angry” Celtic.

Barry Ferguson, a former star for Rangers, thinks that senior Celtic players will be upset about finishing outside the top three and has issued a warning that they will be ready to respond sharply.

Since he moved to Ibrox, Philippe Clement’s Rangers team has won just one league game and shown amazing consistency in the league.

Rangers defeated city rivals Celtic and moved up to the top of the league table thanks to their victory over St. Johnstone.

Ferguson believes that many of the senior players on Celtic’s team will not take losing a seven-point lead against Rangers lightly and that they will be incensed about it.

In addition, the former Ger cautioned Rangers that failing to anticipate a sharp retaliation from Celtic in the championship match would be a severe error.

In his Daily Record column, Ferguson stated, “I haven’t been privy to the conversations that have been going on inside Celtic’s training ground this week.”

However, I’ll make a decent estimate.

There were going to be a lot of irate males and frank conversations.

“People like Cameron Carter-Vickers, Joe Hart, and Callum McGregor won’t take any of this lightly.

“And Rangers would be terribly mistaken to anticipate anything else from being knocked off their perch than a bitter Celtic reaction.”

Next up for Rangers is a match against Hearts at home, while Celtic will be at Motherwell.
