30th January, 1909, a SaturdaySince Falkirk was a formidable team in 1909, defeating the Bairns 2-0 is a commendable effort. Before 12,000 spectators at Parkhead, Jimmy Quinn and Davie Hamilton score goals as Celtic prepares to win their seventh consecutive League Championship. Saturday, January 30, 1937: Referee Peter Craigmyle denies a late Stenhousemuir penalty claim for hands against Willie Lyon, which seems justified in the eyes of the press and even a few Celtic sources, and Celtic, without the injured Delaney, are fortunate to draw in a Scottish Cup match at Ochilview. Jimmy McGrory scored the goal for Celtic, making the score 1-1. That day, Rangers lose to Queen of the South 0–1.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 30, 1965: It seems that something is finally happening at Parkhead. For a few weeks now, there have been rumors of a management change throughout Scotland. Today, Celtic defeated Aberdeen 8-0, as if the players sensed something. Sandshoe-wearing John Hughes scores five goals, while Bertie Auld, Bobby Murdoch, and Bobby Lennox each score one in a crushing victory over the Dons that had seemed unthinkable before the game due to the team’s terrible form.30th January, 1971, a SaturdayEven though today will be difficult, two more points can be gained for the sixth straight League championship. At Parkhead, Willie Wallace scores the lone goal as Celtic defeats Dunfermline 1-0. There is a small sigh of relief when the final whistle sounds because this wasn’t a very good performance.

Sunday, January 30, 2005: Celtic defeated Kilmarnock 1-0 at Rugby Park, thanks to a penalty kick from Chris Sutton, to continue their winning streak (seven games in a row). Although it was a close victory, it was well-earned and convincing enough.
