Gary Neville hails ‘immaculate’ Liverpool player as Celtic transfer hopes take a hit

Gary Neville has given Caoimhin Kelleher high marks for his brilliant performance for Liverpool in goal. Due to Alisson’s injury, Liverpool’s starting goalie for Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Chelsea was Kelleher.

Liverpool pulled off an incredible victory thanks in large part to Kelleher’s excellent positioning and several crucial saves.

Liverpool was up against it with a lot of adolescents on the field and a number of players unavailable, but Virgil van Dijk’s header late into extra time won it.

Nobody says it better than Kelleher: everyone pitched in for Liverpool. The Irishman stopped Cole Palmer in the first half with a really amazing save, and he then stopped a Conor Gallagher attempt in the second half.

Late in the game, Kelleher also denied Christopher Nkunku, the Liverpool goalkeeper refusing to give up. Gary Neville gave Kelleher high marks for his performance, calling it “immaculate” during a Sky interview.
