Joe Hart – His contribution to this game was small but so, so important in the grand scheme of things. A spectator for much of the first half, Hart had little to deal with, apart from picking the ball out of his own net from Blair Spittal’s stunning strike on the stroke of half-time. In the second half – after Adam Idah’s equaliser – he produced a stunning save from Jack Vale to keep the game level, which would turn out to be massive in the way the game transpired. From a man who announced his retirement this week, he showed he still has a lot of life left in his hands and feet. A big performance once again. 8
