Declan Rice Conveys Heartfelt Thoughts To Joe Hart Following Retirement Announcement

Joe Hart, the goalie for Celtics, declared yesterday that, at the conclusion of the current campaign, he will be retiring from professional football. The announcement was unexpected, but it was inevitable at some point.

Hart is not a spring chicken at 36. Even though he still has a lot of life left in him, it is impossible to ignore his advancing years, and as his Celtic contract expires at the end of the season, retiring now makes sense.

Following the announcement of Hart’s retirement, a number of well-known figures from the football community responded. Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden, Gary Cahill, and other celebrities sent their well wishes to the Englishman, but current Hoops left-back Greg Taylor stated it’s time for him to finish his career on a positive note.

Declan Rice, an English midfielder currently playing for Arsenal, also texted Hart. Rice paid tribute to the stopper in a poignant Instagram story post, calling him “one of the best people in the game.”

“I am very grateful for everything you have done for me, buddy. Best wishes for your upcoming chapter. I adore you, sibling.

Rice and Hart were roommates at West Ham for a while. At the time, the ‘keeper was a key member of the team and the now-developing Gunner was one of the players.

This is also true at Celtic, where everyone will miss the 36-year-old’s presence in and around the club and dressing room when the current campaign ends in May.
