Chris Sutton: Celtic cannot continue to make the same errors.

Chris Sutton is adamant that Celtic can still win the Scottish Premiership, despite the fact that they are now second behind Rangers.

In the last few months, the Bhoys have witnessed a stunning collapse in the title chase. They were ahead of Rangers by eight points, but now they are behind them by two.

Although Rangers aren’t flawless, the BBC pundit claimed in a Daily Record article that they are gaining pace under new manager Philippe Clement.

Celtic has a wealth of recent title-winning experience, and Brendan Rodgers himself brought home multiple honors during his initial stint with the team. However, Celtic are going through a difficult time, and everyone at the club needs to pull together to get things back on track.

This late in the season, Celtic just cannot afford to be making any more errors. Although Rangers aren’t flawless, Philippe Clement is getting a good performance from them, according to Sutton’s Daily Record article.

“I keep hearing that Celtic still has the advantage because they have players who have competed in the past, but the problem lies with the players in the squad who haven’t.” As demonstrated last weekend against Kilmarnock, your senior boys have a limited amount of ability.

It’s not gone forever. Not at all. However, it will require a concerted effort, and the past must be put behind us. That can provide the accurate and conclusive title response in May.

This season, can Celtic win the Scottish Premiership?
Without a doubt. It won’t be simple though. The way the lead was blown and how it transpired has coincided with Rangers improving with each passing game gives the impression that the momentum has entirely changed.

Both of those games would be crucial because Celtic has a strong recent record when playing the Old Firm. The Hoops may reenter the race and take charge of their own fate if they can win those two games.

They must, however, quit giving up points to opposing teams both at home and away. Senior players at the club can only do so much; they cannot lead the squad to victory on a constant basis, as Sutton correctly noted in his column.

Celtic hasn’t strengthened their roster enough in January, and the acquisitions made during the summer transfer window have been dreadful. If other players don’t take charge and assume accountability, Celtic might have a hard time regaining the lead.
