The Irish international is a seasoned backup to Alisson at Anfield, but at 25, he is starting to establish himself as a regular member of the first squad.

Joe Hart’s contract expires at the end of this season, therefore Celtic will need to find a replacement quickly. The former England goalie, who is 37 in April, has not had any talk about signing a new contract.

While Brentford, Wolves, and Brighton have all been linked to the Anfield keeper, it is difficult to see how Celtic could outbid the transfer sum that is expected to be offered by Premier League teams. At best, Celtic could offer Kelleher acceptable personal terms.

Putting everything together, the Daily Mail says:

According to sources in Scotland, Celtic is one of several teams interested in a summer move for Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher. However, if the Irishman decided to leave, it’s likely the Reds would only sell him for a reasonable transfer fee.

The 36-year-old Joe Hart’s contract is up at the end of this season, and the Irishman, who has made 11 appearances for the Reds this season, has been mentioned as a possible replacement at Celtic Park.Though Kelleher hasn’t made a choice, Celtic will probably face competition for his signature if he decides to leave this summer. Three Premier League teams have also seen the goalkeeper this season. During the summer, Brentford, Brighton, and Wolves expressed interest.

Since joining Celtic as a free agent in the summer of 2022, Hart has yet to make a league appearance. Scott Bain and Ben Siegrist are also at Celtic, but they haven’t been able to put any pressure on Hart.
