The host of talkSPORT took a jab at the Jamaican team when Ally McCoist predicted a “final that was similar” to the League Cup earlier in the year.
Alan Brazil, who predicted Celtic to win the Scottish Cup again, took a jab at Hearts, calling them ‘Rangers reserves’.
Ally McCoist joined the talkSPORT host on air, and they talked about Monday night’s semi-final draw over the phone with colleague Adrian Durham. In an attempt to cap off his coverage of Brazil, he chose to “congratulate” Aberdeen on making it to the Final when they were paired with Brendan Rodgers’ team. However, he was not having it, taking a swipe at his fellow pundit and calling the managerless Dons “disarray.”
Following that, McCoist predicted a matchup between this year’s League Cup final and Rangers’ victory over Aberdeen at Hampden to secure the first trophy of the season for the Ibrox cabinet. This prompted Brazil to play a lighthearted jab at Steven Naismith’s Hearts, telling the Ibrox hero that his team would purchase a return ticket to the national stadium because they were playing their “reserves.”
Brazilians: “Oh you mean that team that has no manager now that Neil [Warnock] has left and in total disarray? Don’t you worry about it. Green and white ribbons on the Cup again.”
McCoist, on “I think you are right Aid. I think you are looking at a similar cup final to the League Cup Final..”
