Burning Fever – Celtic ready to splash the cash

Burning Fever: Celtics Are Prepared To Spend Big Money

Four points out of four isn’t bad, and Celtic supporters are itching for Brendan Rodgers to lead us to the next level and sail into the sunset—not with the Jolly Roger on the bow, but with the Scottish Premiership Flag—now that he has steadied a slightly rudderless ship.

Losing to Hearts at home and at Kilmarnock was a devastating blow that left some people depressed and others adopting a more realistic attitude.

They then observed that, to put it plainly, there was an ambition gap between the board and the manager. Even though they witnessed some of our most important and gifted players suffering on the medical table—some for protracted periods of time—we managed to maintain our lead.

The way the points were lost was through a series of forced backline shuffles that damaged our confidence just as much as they did our seemingly insurmountable advantage at the top. I won’t mention names, but you know who they are.

Now, with eleven goals for and just one against against Livingston, stoic Dundee, the Loving Cup Champions, the Rangers, and finally St. Mirren, it seems the Celts are on the march once more.

There is newfound hope and optimism for the second half of the season with the return of Reo Hatate and Liel Abada combined with the reliable defensive pairings of Scales/Welsh/Rocky (depending on who gets hurt first) and Kyogo’s retention because he didn’t play in the Asia Cup.

Now, a number of names have been mentioned in relation to the new players who are expected to join us and remove the beta-blockers: Shankland, Miovski, McKenna, Kvistgaarden, Rapid Vienna flyer, Kuhn, to mention a few.

When we have a completely healthy and operational team, it appears that we will likely take out three or even four of these targets and perhaps destroy the remaining opposition. It’s entirely speculation as to who they will be, but I have complete confidence in Brendan to make the right decision.

As we approach the winter break and the transfer window that we have all been waiting for, all we can do now is wait for the board to keep their word and grant our wishes. To you, Peter/Michael Dermot, et al. Present Me With The Cash!
