Deal for Celtic player can be ‘unblocked at any moment’ after player flew ‘into a rage’ – Hope ‘green light’ comes soon

Lecce has not given up on signing Gustaf Lagerbielke of Celtic, and there is still a possibility that the transaction will close before the end of the day.

According to a prior report, Brendan Rodgers’ team was still delaying after Cameron Carter-Vickers’ injured comeback, despite the Serie A team’s directors doing everything in their power to finalize the transfer.

Lagerbielke wants the transfer, and early on Thursday morning, Quotidiano di Puglia provided an update on the Celtic defender’s circumstances.

They clarify that the deadline is 8 p.m. in Italy, or 7 p.m. in the UK, and that the “green light” from Celtic might come “close to the closing bell” to enable the Swede to transfer to Lecce.

The player had successfully “packed his bags” for the trip on Tuesday, but after his teammate’s incident, everything came to an abrupt halt.

Lagerbielke became enraged by this and informed Celtic, “through his agents,” of his desire to depart from Scotland and travel to Italy.

It’s thought that the player and the Italian team are “continuing the work of persuasion” to persuade the leaders of the Scottish Premiership to allow him to leave, and that it might “unblocked at any moment.”
