It’s absolutely no surprise Burnley are making renewed effort to sign Coventry City star: View

Rekindled interest in Callum O’Hare by Burnley after his impressive performances for the Sky Blues this season shouldn’t come as a surprise.

With their top players still on the team, Coventry City will be hoping to make it past the transfer deadline.

During the summer transfer window, the Sky Blues experienced the devastating loss of Gustavo Hamer and Viktor Gyokeres, two important players.

As a result, Coventry was forced to enter the market and purchase a number of first-team replacements, some of whom have thus far failed to live up to expectations.

Therefore, rather than hurting their promotion campaign, the club will be looking at this transfer window as an opportunity to boost it.

Mark Robins will therefore be pressuring the team to hold onto players like Callum O’Hare, who has once again been the focus of transfer rumors.

Southampton, Burnley, and Leicester are considering Callum O’Hare.

The Daily Mail’s Tom Collomosse was the first to disclose that Callum O’Hare of Coventry is being pursued by both Leicester City and Southampton.

According to Collomosse, Burnley of the Premier League is interested in the midfield player in addition to the two Championship teams.

The Coventry player’s contract expires in the summer, and although Collomosse hasn’t ruled out a move this month, he says it seems more ideal for all parties if something happens in the summer.

HITC then disclosed that this month, proposals to sign O’Hare have been made by Burnley and the two Championship teams.

The 25-year-old’s interest in Leicester and Southampton is surprising because neither team has previously been connected to the player. However, Burnley has long been interested in O’Hare; during the summer transfer window of 2022, reports suggested the Clarets were close to signing the player.

It’s not surprising that Burnley is showing interest in Callum O’Hare again.

As previously stated, Burnley was interested in Callum O’Hare in the summer of 2022, and TEAMtalk even claimed that the Clarets were on the verge of signing him.

The hamstring injury he sustained on the final night of the previous season, among other reasons, prevented the move from working out. Since then, he has remained with the Sky Blues, worked to regain match fitness following both the injury and the long-term knee problem, and helped the team move up the Championship table.

The Premier League team is presently five points outside of safety in the midst of a relegation battle. Therefore, in order to increase his team’s chances of staying alive, Vincent Kompany would be eager to acquire one or two players in the remaining days of this transfer window.

O’Hare hasn’t played in the Premier League, so it’s not surprising that teams are showing interest in him again; he might be the stardust they need to get out of their current situation.

O’Hare’s injury kept him out of the starting lineup for a significant portion of the season, but since he’s returned, he’s helped the squad go from being a relegation threat to a postseason contender.

The 25-year-old, who averages 56 minutes per game, has started eight of the 15 Championship games in which he has appeared.

Due to his five goals and one assist, the attacking midfielder has already been chosen to the team of the week twice. According to SofaScore.com, O’Hare now has a projected goal rate of 2.32 and an expected assist rate of 1.03.

FLW talk about the latest rumors about Coventry City’s position on Callum O’Hare leaving this month.

With 1.5 shots per game, 0.8 of which are on target, and a scoring frequency of 167 minutes, the Coventry midfielder averages 0.3 goals a game.

According to SofaScore.com, O’Hare has a goal conversion rate of 22%, has made one important play and picked up 1.3 crucial passes, and has an 87% pass accuracy rate per game.

O’Hare is not afraid to perform his defensive duties; this season, he has recovered the ball 3.5 times and averages 1.3 tackles in addition to 0.5 interceptions a game.

The midfield player has an average SofaScore rating of 7.14 after winning 45% of all dual matches and completing 37% of his attempted dribbles.

The 25-year-old’s injury history during the past several seasons is a factor that may worry prospective buying clubs.

However, O’Hare has demonstrated his ability in a small number of appearances this season, so it makes sense that Burnley and other teams are interested in signing him this month.

Although O’Hare might not be the only solution to Burnley’s Premier League survival, he can provide the extra spark and originality in the middle that they could be lacking.

The most recent transfer involving Birmingham City: Jordan James heats up, Wigan goalie eyes Alex Pritchard

The most recent Birmingham City transfer news is compiled by FLW.

Birmingham City is looking to wrap up further transfer negotiations before the deadline of February 1st.

Given that Wayne Rooney was fired as head coach at the beginning of the month and Tony Mowbray arrived without much notice, the Blues have had a busy January transfer window.

The team was anticipating a busy transfer window, but the anticipated plans haven’t yet paid off considering the recent manager change and the club’s position just above the dotted line.

Championship leaders Leicester City easily defeated Birmingham on Saturday, sending them out of the FA Cup.

The emphasis, however, might quickly shift to whatever transfers the team can complete before Thursday, as Mowbray will want to expand his options.

Here, we’ve examined the most recent transfer rumors surrounding the Midlands team.

The position of Birmingham City on Alex Pritchard

According to Alan Nixon, Birmingham City is content to hold out on signing Sunderland midfielder Alex Pritchard until the summer transfer season.

As Mowbray attempts to get back together with the 30-year-old, it became apparent last week that Sunderland had turned down a bid from the Blues for Pritchard.Subsequently, Mike McGrath of The Telegraph revealed that the player is also being pursued by the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer and Sivasspor of Turkey.

Since then, it has become known to the public that Pritchard is no longer up for selection and has requested to leave Sunderland immediately.

Although the Black Cats are reportedly eager to see Pritchard depart this month, it has been said that Birmingham is content to wait until the summer, when they can sign him for nothing. Pritchard is a free agent in the summer.

Preston and Birmingham are considering Wigan Athletic goalkeeper

Journalist Alan Nixon reports that Preston North End and Birmingham are interested in signing Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Sam Tickle.

The 21-year-old had his breakout campaign this season after going through the DW Stadium system.

This season, the goalie has started all 29 of the Latics’ league games and has kept nine clean sheets.

Tickle has been the club’s best performer, and it appears that people are taking note of him.

Nixon said in November that Everton, a Premier League team, had been keeping a close eye on Tickle and was considering making a move for him.

The Championship now appears to be a rival for the Toffees, as Preston is keeping a watch on Tickle in case Freddie Woodman draws interest before the transfer window closes.

Although Birmingham is also considering the Wigan goalie, veteran stopper John Ruddy is nearing the end of his playing days.
