After spending £3 million to move from Elfsborg to Glasgow, the 23-year-old appears to believe he has the skills needed to succeed at the Glasgow giants after just six months.

The deal is expected to be completed “in the coming hours,” according to Luca Bendoni of Gianluca DiMarzo.com, who first revealed the news of the former Allsvensken Defender of the Year yesterday on his social media channel X.

Bendoni stated, “We are still waiting for the details as we are waiting for further confirmation about them,” in an exclusive statement to TBR Celtic. As of right now, all that is known is that it is a verified loan plus buy option.

“I don’t believe that under certain circumstances, the option can become required. But I am aware that they talked about making this option mandatory under some circumstances.

“I believe that in the end, they left it out. At the end of the season, I believe Lecce will have this option.

“Of course, the loan would last for six months. However, I believe tomorrow is the day they will complete all necessary documents to clinch the deal.

Lagerbielke’s departure from Celtic brings an end to an odd tale in which a promising £3 million transfer nearly went bad in an instant.

Despite making an impression in the September Glasgow Derby, the young Swede appeared to have no chance of coming back after being sent off in his Champions League debut against Feyenoord.

But even though Lagerbielke scored the game-winning goal to help Celtic snap a terrible 10-year losing streak in the Champions League, it appears that Lagerbielke’s time with the club is drawing to an abrupt conclusion at some point today.

The young player will depart with the warmest regards from the Celtic supporters, who will never forget him for that unforgettable goal against Feyenoord.
