AROUND HIS KNEES…In February 2016, Colin Kazim-Richards experiences a depressing emotion during his Celtic debut – a 2-1 defeat to Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

Just three days after leaving Feyenoord, Deila rushed him into his first team to make his debut in a 2-1 league loss against Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

After barely six months in Rotterdam, the 29-year-old forward was permitted to depart by future Ibrox manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst amid rumors of off-field conflicts.

After joining the Dutch team from Bursaspor, Kazim-Richards only managed one goal in 11 games before the club suspended him for a confrontation with a local journalist.

The player began playing soccer as a young player with Queens Park Rangers before moving on to Arsenal. In addition, he represented Sheffield United, Brighton, and Bury before relocating to his native country to play for Fenerbahce.

In addition, he relocated to Istanbul and began playing for Galatasaray, interspersing stints on loan at Toulouse, a French club, and Olympiakos, a Greek team.

The one and only…In April 2016, Colin Kazim-Richards celebrates his only league goal for Celtic during a 3-1 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle. Callum McGregor, Erik Sviatchenko, Scott Brown, and Mikael Lustig also participate.

Before moving to Bursaspor, Kazim-Richards returned to England to play for Blackburn Rovers.

He scored two goals for the Hoops, one in the league against Hearts and the other in a Scottish Cup match against East Kilbride, an amateur team.

Following his time at Celtic, the misfiring marksman embarked on his next adventure, signing for Coritiba in Brazil.

After that, he lived in Mexico for a while until joining Derby County again in October 2020.

Before his illustrious career came to an end, Kazim-Richards spent two more years in Turkey with Fatih Karaguruk SK. His travels also included a stopover in Glasgow’s east end.
