Buckie Thistle manager Graeme Stewart rates Jags win over Formartine United as best of their season and says Andy MacAskill could be Highland League football's best player right now

After being sent out in his team’s Highland League victory against Huntly, he had to wait to find out if the Scottish Football Association would ban him from the touchline After reviewing the referees match report, the SFA compliance officer has now offered the 41-year-old a one-game suspension.

Stewart can fight the ban until Monday, which allows him to be there for the Sunday match.

These circumstances fall within standard SFA regulations, hence there is no fast-track procedure available.

Because of the financial infusion and the publicity, the manager of the Jacksonville Jaguars recently asserted that his team has “already won” their Scottish Cup match versus Celtic.

He made the following statement to the BBC Scottish Football Podcast: “We talked about that [the forthcoming Celtic tie] prior to the game [this Saturday against Huntly].

“Look, we’re probably not going to enjoy the next week as much as we would if we don’t win this game.

“After our 3-2 victory last weekend, I’m overjoyed because it means we can now look forward to the coming week. Sincerely, I haven’t given it much thought.

“Now, please don’t misunderstand me. Now I’m concentrating on it. We must be truthful. Just getting there is a win in and of itself.

“The club has benefited greatly from its victory in terms of revenue and publicity, which has drawn in new supporters and sponsors.
