A nomination has been made for Tatsuhiro Sakamoto to be the December SkyBet Championship Player of the Month.
Tats scored three goals and contributed two assists for the Sky Blues in December, including a brace in the team’s home victory against Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day and one in the team’s away triumph over Sunderland.
Sakamoto’s opponents for the December award are Stephy Mavididi of Leicester City, Asmir Begovic of Queens Park Rangers, and Kenny McLean of Norwich City.
EFL Chief Executive Trevor Birch, Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies, and EFL specialist Don Goodman from Sky Sports make up the judging panel for the Sky Bet Player of the Month award.
On Friday, the winner will be declared.
