Vitesse Arnhem will resist Rangers’ attempts to sign Million Manhoef for a cost of up to £3 million, thinking that a transfer would result in their relegation from the Dutch first division.
And the fears are not unfounded.
Vitesse Arnhem have sunk to the bottom of the Eredivisie rankings, four points adrift of the relegation zone. Imagine Vitesse without the incredible Million Manhoef among their ranks if this is what they are capable of.
According to the Scottish Sun, Rangers are first in line for Manhoef and might make a deal of approximately £2.5 million. The Dutch under-21 international is also wanted by Leicester City and Preston, but Rangers have an ace up their sleeve with new director of football Nils Koppen encouraging a potential mid-season move.
