Aliyah Boston Challenges Caitlin Clark to Teach Her Golf After LPGA Pro-Am

On Wednesday, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark made a splash off the basketball court by competing in the LPGA’s The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge pro-am at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. The 22-year-old guard, who is known for her dazzling performances on the basketball court, showcased her golf skills in a fun, yet competitive setting. Clark teamed up with a mix of professional golfers, including world No. 1 Nelly Korda and Hall of Famer Annika Sƶrenstam, finishing with an impressive -11 net par, which tied for the eighth-best score of the day. The event saw a wide range of scores, with the highest score reaching a remarkable -22, achieved by a team that included two professional golfers, Thidapa Suwannapura from Thailand and Japanā€™s Mao Saigo.

As the event wrapped up, Clark took to Instagram to share her experience with a series of photos, giving fans a glimpse of her time on the golf course. Her post quickly caught the attention of her Indiana Fever teammate Aliyah Boston, who couldnā€™t resist commenting. In her message, Boston jokingly asked, “What can’t you do? Can you teach me how to golf? Trying to add it to my resume.” Clark responded with a playful invitation: ā€œLetā€™s make a TikTok bout it,ā€ alongside a devil emoji. Boston, ever eager to join in the fun, responded, ā€œIā€™m ready when you are sista gurlll.ā€

This lighthearted exchange between the two teammates is a testament to the close bond they share both on and off the court. Boston, who played a pivotal role in the Feverā€™s successful 2024 season, is no stranger to excellence herself. The former South Carolina star had a standout rookie year in 2023 and continued to shine in 2024, averaging 14.0 points per game along with career highs in rebounds and assists. Alongside Clark and fellow All-Star Kelsey Mitchell, Boston helped lead the Fever back to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

The dynamic between Clark and Boston is one of the most exciting in the WNBA, with both players consistently delivering exceptional performances. With the addition of 2023 Coach of the Year Stephanie White, the Fever are looking more promising than ever, boasting a young, talented core that could potentially contend for a championship in the coming years. The chemistry between Boston and Clark extends beyond the basketball court, and itā€™s clear that their bond is helping to fuel the teamā€™s success.

While golf may not be the main focus for either player, this fun moment between two of the WNBAā€™s brightest stars shows just how versatile they areā€”whether it’s shooting hoops or hitting the links. As they continue to grow as both athletes and friends, fans can expect even more exciting collaborations from this talented duo, both in sports and beyond.
