Football Insider has learned that Rangers and Coventry City are interested in signing Australian wonder Raphael Borges Rodrigues.

Rodrigues, 20, has attracted the eye of Macarthur FC in the Australian A-League, and his performances have put him on the radar of a number of European clubs.

The forward has six goals and two assists for Macarthur FC this season, and the club is bracing for summer bids.

Championship side. Coventry City and Rangers are both monitoring Rodrigues’ progress.

League Two Swindon Town are also planning an audacious move for Rodrigues, with Robins owner Clem Morfuni hoping to exploit his Australian contacts to attract the youngster to England.

Rodrigues is in demand as Rangers and Coventry compete for his signing.

Rodrigues was born in the Netherlands, relocated to Australia as a child, and joined Melbourne City Academy in 2017.

Seven years later, he is drawing interest from two major clubs, potentially providing a passage to Europe’s greatest stage.
