Philippe Clement’s update spells the end of Rangers star’s Ibrox tenure. view

Ryan Jack’s injury situation has left Rangers fans skeptical that Philippe Clement would be able to prolong his contract.

The 32-year-old Scotland international midfielder’s Rangers career has been hampered by a calf injury that has kept him out.

Jacko’s contract at Ibrox is coming to an end, and he is currently on the medical table, raising concerns.

Philippe Clement’s latest Ryan Jack update appears to spell the end of the midfielder’s Rangers career.

Injury updates for Philippe Clement and Ryan Jack.

Before the game against Dundee, Philippe Clement was asked about Ryan Jack’s situation at Rangers.

Jack hasn’t been seen since the Scottish Cup triumph over Ayr United, as injury has disrupted his season at a critical point.

Clement has stated that it is unclear if the player will return this season, as Rangers are considering different solutions to a long-standing issue.

“That’s a difficult one,” commented Clement, when asked if Rangers supporters could see Ryan Jack this season.

“He was on his way back last week, but he felt again, so we are now looking into different options to get him back. So we lost some time there, but we’ll see.

“We look at the situation and find answers on a weekly basis.

“It’s a problem with his calves that has been for years, so it needs to be addressed properly.

“I am also not a manager who wants to get a player back for one game and then he’s out for three months or he has a risk for the rest of his career, that I don’t want also.”

Rangers midfielder heading to Scotland heartbreak

Rangers will only offer new contracts to one of their six out-of-contract players, as reported last week.

With that resembling John Lundstram, Ryan Jack and others appear to be on their way out, and the midfielder’s dismissal would mark the end of an era.

Jack joined Rangers from Aberdeen in 2017 and has occasionally demonstrated his obvious talent in the Ibrox midfield.

Ryan Jack, a fixture in Steve Clarke’s Scotland side, missed Euro 2020 due to injury, which appears to have hindered his chances for Euro 2024 as well.

It’s a tremendous shame for Ryan Jack, and we grieve for the midfielder, who has made an enormous contribution to Rangers in his 210 appearances.
