Three Coventry City players that could eventually play in the Premier League

, 3 Coventry City players capable of stepping up to the Premier League in the future

After missing out on a thrilling return to the Premier League due to penalties in the previous season, Coventry City is back in the running for the playoffs.

For a large portion of this season, Coventry City appeared to be a long cry from the team that advanced to the play-off final. They are four points outside of the top six in the Championship table, but they have made an amazing comeback to sit eighth.

After trading Viktor Gyokeres and Gustavo Hamer last summer, they made some striking additions, and they undoubtedly have players who can advance those two farther up the ranks.

Having said that, the following three Coventry City players have the potential to play in the Premier League in the future:

Ben Sheaf

Sheaf shined at Coventry City, and now he’s one of the Championship’s best midfield players. The former Arsenal player might have the opportunity to play in the Premier League with a different team if the Sky Blues are not successful in qualifying.

The 26-year-old was formerly on Arsenal’s books as a juvenile and would welcome the chance to establish himself in the premier league.

Wright Haji

After switching from the Turkish Super Lig to the Championship last summer, Wright has performed admirably this year, establishing himself as a threat both as a striker and on the left side.

Van Ewijk Milan

Last but not least is Dutch wing-back van Ewijk, another player signed last summer. Prior to moving to Coventry City, he had established himself as a potent player with Heerenveen, becoming a big signing for the team.

The 23-year-old, who can play both full-back and wing-back, is still in his prime and is expected to play in the highest division of football. His explosive presence on the right made him a vital player in his debut season in the second division, so he could definitely do so in England.
