Fernandes: The Coventry side is tough.

We learned our opponents for the final four shortly after Manchester United defeated Liverpool in our thrilling Emirates FA Cup quarterfinal.

On the weekend of April 20, Coventry City will visit Wembley, and Mark Robins, a former United striker, will be leading the Sky Blues from the dugout.

After our incredible victory over Jurgen Klopp’s team in extra time, Bruno Fernandes was questioned about the dangers our Championship rivals would present.

At Molineux on Saturday, Coventry defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers with two goals in stoppage time. The victory was as spectacular.

BRUNO: FOR US, THIS GAME WAS HUGE.

Our number eight said, “It’s a tough game.”

“My chef at home is a Sunderland supporter, so I occasionally get to watch some Championship games at home with him.”

“So they have good players on the ball for stretches of time. Physically, they are quite challenging to play against. It was observed versus Wolves.

“I believe they won the game in three minutes—97 and 90 plus 10 or something similar. As a result, we are prepared and cannot arrive at the location and be taken aback by what they have in store for us.

“We have to do the same as we did today on running, on tracking back or fighting spirit and everything, and then put the quality we have put on in the 30 minutes today for longer spells in the game.”

Our final chance to win a trophy this season is in the FA Cup, as Erik ten Hag’s club aims to place in the top four of the Premier League. Bruno claims that before what would go down in history as one of the greatest matches against Liverpool, our players considered the possibility of losing the chance to raise the illustrious cup.

“We said now that our goal for the rest of the season is getting into the top four, and trying to win the FA Cup,” he told ITV.

“Until the end of the season, we have to exert every effort to achieve the two goals we have.

“The FA Cup is a significant prize for this club and this nation, but we can’t get any more. We also wish to proceed to the final.

“We know it’s going to be tough; [there are] good teams into the semi-final, but we’ve got to do everything we can to get [to the final].”
