In the FA Cup, Coventry City stunned Premier League Wolves, earning praise from Gary Lineker for being “absolutely superb.”

At Molineux, the Sky Blues defeated Wolves 3-2 thanks to two goals in stoppage time, securing their spot in the FA Cup semifinals. Ellis Simms gave Coventry the lead, but Wolves appeared to be heading to Wembley after scoring twice in the final ten minutes of normal time.

However, Simms pulled one back in the 97th minute of extra time due to stoppages, which included more than four minutes for a VAR review of Coventry’s opening goal. Haji Wright then curled in a fantastic winner with 90+10 seconds remaining to excite the 4,800-strong Sky Blue Army.

“This week is my biggest achievement,” the Coventry City manager stated during a crowded FA Cup press conference.
Five times is Mark Robins’ apology for the event after the Haji Wright winning was called “disgusting.”

According to Coventry manager Mark Robins, “I thought we were brilliant from start to finish.” Lineker expressed his unambiguous agreement on X, writing, “Amazing victory for (Coventry City)”. Exceptionally good.
