Team News: Wolves make two changes for Coventry FA Cup tie

Two changes have been made by Wolverhampton Wanderers for their FA Cup quarterfinal matchup with Coventry City on Saturday.

Head coach Gary O’Neil was vague in the lead-up to the game at Molineux regarding the availability of Matheus Cunha, Pedro Neto, and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde. Cunha made an appearance in full training following a hamstring injury.

But due to Bellegarde’s and Neto’s injuries from last weekend, O’Neil only makes the two changes for the game against the Sky Blues, meaning all three players miss it.

O’Neill drops back from his defensive four against Fulham, bringing Tommy Doyle into the middle, and Toti Gomes goes back to the back three.

Since Craig Dawson is still sidelined due to a groyne injury, Santiago Bueno is back in the defence, and Nathan Fraser is starting at the front for the second straight game.

Up to five Wolves players who are on the bench as substitutes have never started a game for the first team.

Mark Robins, the manager of Coventry, has also made two changes to the starting lineup from the 2-1 victory over Watford.

Victor Torp, who appeared to have suffered a hamstring problem at Vicarage Road, and Liam Kelly both come off the replacements’ bench.

Milan van Ewijk takes over at right wing-back, Josh Eccles shifts to central midfield, and Ben Sheaf is called up after making his comeback from an injury that kept him out for nearly six weeks against the Hornets.
