Boddy thinks that in order for Robins to leave the Coventry Building Society Arena, rival clubs would have to give an extremely compelling offer to him.
Previously serving as the club’s CEO, Boddy collaborated closely with Robins throughout the Championship team’s prosperous era.
Given the difficulties the Sky Blues have experienced, Robins’ leadership has been a major factor in their recent success. He led the team from League Two to the second-tier play-off final, which is an incredible accomplishment.
In addition to having to play away from the Coventry Building Society Arena until their return in 2021, they also suffered the loss of several important players, including Marc McNulty, who moved to Reading in 2018.
The manager of Coventry has handled every challenge that has come his way, therefore it’s surprising that he hasn’t been connected to more teams given his success.
Boddy stated that Sunderland had already made an approach, and Robins has also been connected to Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion, but his dedication to the cause has been evidently steadfast.
He has actually held the title of second-tier manager with the longest tenure, which is still a fantastic accomplishment given the high rate of managerial turnover at this level.

Boddy on Robins’ Coventry City future
Unfortunately for other teams who might be interested in Robins, Boddy thinks he won’t be leaving anytime soon.
“I think it will take a lot to take him away from the club,” he said to Coventry Live. He has played a significant role in the events over the previous seven years.
“He has a strong work ethic and is constantly seeking methods to make things better, whether it is for his staff or the players he has assembled around him.
“He has always sought to make improvements and move the team ahead.
“He’s performed incredibly well, and I’m shocked that more teams haven’t approached him. To the best of my knowledge, there has only been one official approach during my time at Sunderland, and he promptly turned it down.
“Incidentally, he refused to leave. I’m just shocked that someone hasn’t claimed him.”
