When will Celtic find out the outcome of their appeal concerning Hyunjun Yang?

Celtic has filed an appeal against the red card that Hyunjun Yang got during last weekend’s 2-0 loss to Heart of Midlothian in the capital.

The South Korean winger was originally given a yellow card for a high challenge on Alex Cochrane, but after VAR intervened, the decision was changed to a dismissal.

Yang wasn’t the only player to feel let down last Sunday, though, as Tomoki Iwata received a harsh penalty for a handball shortly before halftime, which allowed the home team to take the lead through Jorge Grant.

At full time, Brendan Rodgers became enraged and criticized the officiating on display. According to The Scottish Sun, he may face retroactive action under SFA Rule No. 72, Article 96.1.

Though he seldom argued with referees in his two stints in Scotland, the Irishman was obviously of the opinion that the authorities had some explaining to do after some dubious results at Tynecastle.

It’s unclear where things will go from here, but Celtic doesn’t seem likely to back down in the midst of the newest issue to ruffle Scottish football.

When will Celtic find out what becomes of Hyunjun Yang?
Following Yang’s dismissal, Celtic issued a strong statement yesterday afternoon. In addition, they raised “serious concerns” with the use of VAR during the 2-0 loss to Hearts.

“Celtic Football Club can confirm that it will be appealing the red card issued to Hyunjun Yang during Sunday’s match against Hearts at Tynecastle,” the notice stated in full.

Additionally, we have written to the SFA to express our grave concerns about the judgments taken during the match and the usage of VAR.

“As we have previously stated, Celtic has been collaborating with the football authorities to raise the bar for officiating and VAR usage in Scotland, both of which are clearly in the best interests of the game as a whole.”

More details have now surfaced about Yang’s expected date of discovery on the success of the club’s choice to challenge his termination.

Notices of Complaint on the SFA website have been updated to reflect that a Fast Track Tribunal hearing is scheduled for today to address Celtic’s allegation that Yang was wrongfully fired for grave misconduct.

Other than that, not much is known; still, following a crazy weekend, the Bhoys will be eagerly awaiting the outcome of their appeal.

Yang is a player Rodgers wouldn’t be eager to lose for a while, as evidenced by his two assists in his previous three Scottish Premiership games and his recent surge in form [Transfermarkt].
